Job Title: Junior Artworker

Location: Leeds and on-site during events season, this is not a remote/hybrid position.

Reports to: Creative Content Manager  

Working Hours: Full Time, 35 Hours per week.

Salary: £21,000

 

Established in 1994, Futuresound Group is a long running, multifaced, independent live music promotion company based in Yorkshire.  With a proven track record spanning over 20 years, Futuresound Group curates and produces over 1000 events annually, ranging from 100 capacity events featuring emerging talent, through to 70,000 capacity world renowned stadium acts.  The group portfolio also includes award winning national festivals Slam Dunk and Live at Leeds and is also home to respected and renowned music venues The Key Club and The Wardrobe, which welcome a host of high-profile touring artists throughout the year. 

 

General purpose:  You will be in a key player in artwork editing and creation, supporting our busy marketing team by delivery high-quality artwork for the company’s brands, events and festivals.  You must be highly organised, detail-orientated, be able to work well under pressure, and have a proven track record of working in a high-volume environment adhering to strict deadlines.  A creative flair and a strong eye for detail are essential in addition to a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a passion and enthusiasm for music and live events. 
 

Key responsibilities: 
 

  • Tour and event artwork creation.

  • Retouch, resize and adapt existing artwork to different formats and channels.

  • Creating marketing collateral including show listings, fliers and social media assets to support announcements and on sales 

  • Ordering and maintaining print stock on a weekly basis 

  • Assisting with content and artwork design and creation across the company brand portfolio, working closely with the in-house content creator. 

  • Supporting the development and general upkeep of the visual identity of our businesses and social media sites / websites

  • Creating marketing collateral in support of our venues, including menu creation and editing, and POS materials and signage.

  • Actively developing creative content and initiatives to improve brand presence and the visual identity for our businesses including on-site branding within our venues and festivals. 

  • Assisting with digital content creation including videos and reels.

  • Working closely with the rest of the marketing department and promoters, adhering to marketing budgets set out by the marketing manager and promoters. 

  • Adhering to marketing admin, ensuring cost and budget sheets are updated and filing kept up to date. 

  • To work out of hours when necessary, including on site during festivals and events. 

  • To fulfil any other duties requested by the Directors or the Marketing Manager.

 

Qualities and qualifications:

 

  • Must be fluent and skilled in Adobe suite software, with a particular focus on Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier software.

  • Experience in producing artwork for both print and digital platforms.

  • Strong organisation skills, with experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Exceptional communication skills and an ability to write concisely are essential. 

  • Have a high level of attention to detail and quality control.

  • Have an ability to stay focused and calm under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • A strong knowledge and passion for the music and events industry is highly desirable. 

  • A positive, pro-active attitude with an enthusiasm for the role and a willingness to learn and develop. 

  • Willingness to work out of hours if required.
